Transforming Safety Initiative Community Grants Program
Geographic Scope: Southeast Colorado Springs, serving El Paso and Teller Counties
Background: Established in 2017 through House Bill 17-1326 by the Colorado Criminal Justice Reform Coalition. The bill reinvests $4 million annually in savings from parole reforms to create a three-year pilot program. Pikes Peak Community Foundation was selected to facilitate the local planning process and manage the grant program for Southeast Colorado Springs.
