Timucuan Preserve Student Research Grants (SRGs)

Program Type: Competitive grants for student research

Eligibility:

• Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate students
• Must submit research project proposals
• Each student expected to carry out a project or be active part of research team under supervision of faculty mentor

Focus Areas:

• Collaborative research activities at the Timucuan Ecological and Historic Preserve
• Projects involving significant student effort toward ongoing research programs or research projects specifically designed for this program

Award Details:

• Financial support for student research
• Winners present their work at Annual Timucuan Science and History Symposium (held in January)

Established through sponsorship at the 2nd annual "Timucuan Science & History Symposium" held in January 2013

Application Process

1. Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be currently enrolled as undergraduate or graduate student
- Must have faculty mentor/supervisor

2. Required Materials:
- Research project proposal

3. Submission:
- Submit by deadline (historically extended from March 14 to April 1)
- Selected applicants notified later in April

4. Post-Award Requirement:
- Winners must present their work at the Annual Timucuan Science and History Symposium (held in January)
