The Thiru Family Trust Momentum Maker Grant

The Thiru Family Trust Momentum Maker Grant (Momentum Maker) was established in 2023 thanks to a generous gift from the Thiru Family Trust. Momentum Maker embodies our shared passion for inspiring new paths to mental health and well-being in Arizona.

Each year, we identify a specific area of mental health-related need and award a single Momentum Maker grant package valued at $75,000 to address that need. Momentum Maker funding is designed to help grantees build capacity, innovate, test proof of concept, or expand early-stage projects.

Eligibility

* The organization must be based in Arizona and it must align with one of the entity definitions below:
* A 501(c)(3), (4), (6) or (19) of the Internal Revenue Code
* A recognized government entity:
* state, county, or city agency, including law enforcement or fire departments
* Educational institution (must be accredited by the appropriate accrediting bodies)
* A church or other faith-based organization with a nonsectarian program that benefits the community at large (e.g., food pantries, clothing closets, food banks, etc.)

Ineligibility

* Ineligible Requests:
* Benefit of a single individual
* Organizations or projects that discriminate against individuals based on age, race, gender, religion, or sexual orientation
* Political causes, candidates, organizations, or campaigns
* Contests or pageants
*  Labor unions
* Third-party giving, including funds that are re-allocated to fiscally-sponsored organizations
