The Surface Creek Community Fund (SCCF) Grant

The Surface Creek Community Fund (SCCF), established in partnership with the Western Colorado Community Foundation, aims to enhance the quality of life in Austin, Cedaredge, Cory, Eckert, and Orchard City. This fund supports local nonprofit organizations and community projects through an annual competitive grants process. Since its inception in 2019, SCCF has allocated $59,325 in grants, fostering community improvement and encouraging donations from local benefactors committed to making a positive impact.

The mission of the Western Colorado Community Foundation is to promote charitable giving, build and manage charitable funds for community good, and provide grants, scholarships, and other resources to benefit the residents and communities of western Colorado.

A local steering committee made up of community leaders reviews applications and awards grants once a year.
