The Shelby Foundation Grant

The Shelby Foundation Grant aims to enhance community quality of life by providing financial assistance to 501(c)(3) organizations and government agencies. By supporting local schools and programs, the foundation seeks to foster a safe, prosperous environment for residents. The initiative focuses on one-time grants for specific purposes, excluding funding for annual operating expenses or projects tied to regular school curriculums, thus ensuring impactful community development.

Offering a Hand Up
The Foundation is determined to make Shelby the best community it can be by investing in programs that result in a strong, safe, prosperous city that is full of opportunities for all residents. Through the Foundation’s grant making capabilities, financial assistance is provided to local organizations to help bolster their services which improves residents’ quality of life.
The Shelby Foundation helps North Central State College and our local schools which affords students the opportunity to gain new skills and knowledge.

Eligibility

All applicants must be a 501 (c)(3) qualified charitable organization and/or government agency/school.Grants are generally given one time only for a specific purpose.

Ineligibility

Grants will not typically be awarded to provide annual operating expenses or support.Grants are not made to individuals, except in the form of scholarships.The Foundation generally does not provide funding for projects which are considered part of a regular school curriculum.The Foundation does not generally make grants for the programs for initiatives where the primary purpose is the promotion of religious doctrine or tenets.Grants are not given for general operating budgets or budget deficit or salaries of established organizations.The Foundation does not typically award grants for computer systems or software programs.
