About Rob Krentz

Rob Krentz was a rancher, educator, and conservationist who:
• Was a graduate of the University of Arizona
• Strongly believed in the importance of education
• Saw all three of his children attend college
• Sat on the school board for the one-room school in Apache, Arizona for over two decades
• Was actively involved in FFA field days, 4H competitions, and youth education programs
• Believed in lifelong education and was a graduate of Project Central, the Center for Rural Leadership
• Served as President of the Cochise-Graham Cattle Growers' Association
• Served as Chairman of the Whitewater Draw Natural Resource Conservation District
• Epitomized generosity and stewardship of the ranching tradition
• Was murdered on March 27, 2010, while checking livestock and wildlife waters on his ranch

• High school graduates in the Malpai Borderlands region
• Open to any subject of study
