Grounded in ReFED’s research, this funding prioritizes initiatives that scale proven approaches with immediate and long-term impact.The fund focuses on two priority areas: advancing food recycling by improving sorting, decontamination, processing, and access to strengthen recycling and diversion systems; and reducing methane in the beef and dairy sectors by cutting loss and waste through reduced animal mortality, improved supply chain efficiency, household food waste prevention, and the use of climate-smart feed additives derived from waste streams. Together, these efforts aim to significantly curb methane emissions while accelerating sustainable food system solutions.
