Overview: An application-based tuition assistance program that provides current staff members at Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center with financial support for education and training opportunities.
Purpose: Supports staff pursuing education and certificate-level training that could directly benefit the organization and advance their careers.
Geographic Scope: Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center, Oregon (US)
- General college coursework related to AA, Bachelor's degree, or other higher education
- Pre-requisite classes in preparation for other programs
- Certification programs related to employee's current job or future role
Eligible Programs of Study
- Must be a current employee of Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center
- Must work at least 16 hours per week (exceptions rare)
- Eligible to participate immediately after being hired
- Not available to temporary, seasonal, on-call employees, contractors, students, allied partners, or non-employees
Eligibility Requirements
- Maximum annual assistance: $15,000 per employee
- Application-based and targeted reimbursement program
