The Cora May and Bob Howe Award is presented occasionally to a member of the village community who has invested exceptional time, talent and spirit for the benefit of the village. The award honors the late Bob Howe and Cora May Howe for the example they set over years of engaged and thoughtful community life.

First Recipients

The first recipients of the Howe Award in August 2025 were Patricia Gibbons and John Ulrich — both longtime, beloved teachers at the Village School of North Bennington.
