The 1968 Legacy Society

Overview:
The 1968 Legacy Society is for donors who want to make a planned gift to the HCC Foundation and create a lasting, deep impact. Also called legacy gifts, planned gifts allow donors to make a difference while potentially qualifying for tax savings and advantages that may increase the value of an estate for heirs.

Types of Planned Gifts That Qualify for Membership:

• Make a bequest from a will
• Make a bequest from a trust
• Leave a percentage of estate or assets to the Foundation (after providing for family)
• Name the Foundation as owner and/or beneficiary of a 401K or IRA plan
• Name the Foundation as owner and/or beneficiary of a life insurance policy
• Establish a Charitable Gift Annuity and name the Foundation as beneficiary
• Establish a Remainder Trust and name the Foundation as beneficiary

Steps to Include HCC in Your Legacy:

1. Contact the Foundation to discuss your planned giving intentions
2. Work with your financial advisor or attorney to structure your gift
3. Notify the Foundation of your planned gift commitment
4. The Foundation will provide sample bequest language if needed
