Terry Linda Potter Scholarship Fund Terry Linda Potter was the only child of Cass and Ellen Potter. Ellen was a nurse for the Ottawa County Health Department for many vears and she raised Terry atter her husband died when Terry was nine months old. When she was 24 years old, the 1967 Grand Haven High School graduate was seeking a master's degree in social work from Western Michigan University and engaged to be married. On March 3, 1974, less than a month before her wedding day, Terry Linda Potter was killed in a hit and run automobile accident. Ellen Potter treasured many special memories of her only child and perhaps the most lasting memorial to Terry is this scholarship fund that is awarded each year to a Tri-Cities resident planning to major in a health-related field.
