Material Requirements

Resume:

Emphasize elements qualifying for desired internship type

Avoid lengthy descriptions

Use clear, concise language

Must be free of errors

Can be more than one page

Consult resume help resources or college Career Office

Cover Letter:

One-page document

Introduce yourself to hiring manager

Argue why you would be good fit for position

Fill in gaps resume cannot describe

Tailor to desired internship, not specifically to Assembly

Transcript:

Request from Registrar's office online or in person

Note: expect slight delay due to backlog

Letters of Recommendation:

Two letters from professors, advisors, or employers

Should comment on academic achievements, written/verbal communication skills, or employment performance

Avoid friends and relatives

Professors/employers can send directly to jpiatt@aaainc.org or provide sealed envelopes

Housing Scholarship Application:

Complete enclosed financial aid request form

Attach copy of FAFSA documentation for current year

Deadline: December 10th, 2025 (past deadline as of 2026-04-03)

Post-Application

• Assembly staff will contact regarding housing deposit payment options
• Upon acceptance, placement process begins immediately
• Potential placements may contact applicants directly
• Notify Assembly of any developments in finding internship placement
