Telehealth Credential Support Grants

Funder: Ohio Children's Alliance on behalf of the Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health Center of Excellence (CABH COE)

Overview: Grant funding supports eligible providers in earning the Board Certified-Telemental Health (BC-TMH) credential. This opportunity was created to expand access to behavioral health services to children through tele-mental health service delivery.

Geographic Scope: Ohio

Focus Areas:

  • Mental health provider professional development

  • Telehealth certification and credentials

  • Behavioral health workforce expansion

    • Eligible Uses of Funding:

  • Reimbursement for costs of training registration (through the New Star Institute)

  • Reimbursement for exam costs

  • Incentives to participate in and complete the credentialing process

    • Eligibility:

  • Mental health specialists and practitioners

  • Community mental health agencies across Ohio

  • Maximum of 2 providers per agency

    • Award Details:

  • Maximum per application: $1,600

  • Total amount per award and number of awards determined by number of applications received, quality of applications, and alignment with selection criteria
