Eligibility
- Children of rank and file members of Teamsters Local 502: CASA with a minimum of two years' membership
- Children attending a public (non-charter) school within the School District of Philadelphia who are recommended by a member of CASA
- Applicants must demonstrate scholastic ability, good character, and leadership qualities
- Must take the College Entrance Examination Board (CEEB) test
- Must maintain at least a "B" average to continue receiving benefits
Award Details
- Amount: Up to $1,000 per year
- Payment: Paid directly to college/university tuition, divided equally among semesters
- Remaining Funds: Unused balance available through college for mandatory extras, required textbooks, or other proper charges
- Duration: Continues through undergraduate degree if eligibility maintained
- Unused Balance: Returned to Scholarship Fund upon graduation or end of academic year
Terms and Conditions
- Winner must notify Fund in writing within ten business days of acceptance
- Must report promptly in writing any other scholarships or grants received
- Failure to report other scholarships may result in withdrawal of all future benefits
- If parent voluntarily terminates employment, benefits may not continue; involuntary termination allows benefits to continue
- Student must submit transcript at end of each semester
- No restrictions on college transfers if approved by both institutions and Fund Trustees

Application Process
1. Request Application: Write to the Scholarship Fund office at 855 North Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19123 or call (215) 236-7222
2. Complete All Sections: Every candidate must follow application directions and complete all sections to be considered
3. Standardized Testing: Candidates required to take the College Entrance Examination Board (CEEB) test
4. Submit Application: Include CEEB scores and high school scholastic achievement records
5. Notification: Selection Committee will review applications using CEEB scores and high school records as criteria
6. Acceptance: Winner must notify Fund in writing within ten business days of acceptance
7. Ongoing Reporting: Winners must submit transcript at the end of each semester to remain eligible
