Overview

The Table Rock Lake Grantmaking Program, managed by the Table Rock Lake Community Foundation, aims to enhance the quality of life in Stone and southeast Barry counties through strategic grantmaking. This program prioritizes support for 501(c)(3) organizations and other IRS-approved entities, focusing on vital community services and innovative projects that foster collaboration. Grant applications are considered based on community needs, with a commitment to non-discrimination and sustainable funding practices.

The Table Rock Lake Community Foundation (TRLCF) works to improve the quality of life for individuals in Stone and southeast Barry counties through thoughtful grantmaking and community leadership. TRLCF is governed by a Board of Directors, chosen for their knowledge of the area. Grant decisions are made by the grant committee. The unique role of a community foundation is to conduct a flexible community grantmaking program which addresses the most important needs of the community at any one time. The flexibility this requires is made possible by charitable donors who established unrestricted or field-of-interest funds and place the decision-making in the hands of the community leaders serving on our Board of Directors as well as dollars raised by the TRLCF.
Grant proposals are accepted according to an announced time table, and grant recommendations are made as funds are available. The TRLCF has a primary interest in supporting institutions and projects that provide vital community services. The TRLCF will consider applications for operating expenses if the applicant can demonstrate how the grant will help stabilize the organization and will implement plans to achieve sustainable funding on a continuing basis.
