Our Mission To grow, protect, and connect charitable gifts in support of strong communities. Susan Yaw Memorial Scholarship Susan Yaw, President of North Central UniServ from 2013 to 2016, was a strong advocate for continuing education. She established programs in her district, Quincy, and in the Council to assist educators in acquiring their NBCT or ProTeach certificates. Susan brought a number of classes to North Central Washington that focused on evaluation and special education and opened opportunities for members to receive ongoing education in our local area and at a low or reasonable cost. Susan lost her battle with cancer in August of 2016. North Central Washington UniServ Council established this scholarship in her memory to assist members who want to pursue NBCT, ProTeach, Master’s degrees, or other professional development, or are paraprofessionals getting a teaching degree.Eligibility
