Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) Grants

Overview: The Idaho FFA Foundation, in partnership with AgWest Farm Credit Services and supported by a $200,000 grant from Wells Fargo, offers SAE grants to Idaho FFA members to help start or expand their Supervised Agricultural Experience projects.

Award Amount: $500 per grant

Number of Awards: 40 grants available (as of 2024-2025)

Geographic Scope: Idaho

Focus Areas: SAE projects including:

  • Entrepreneurship ventures

  • Agricultural careers exploration

  • Research and experimentation

  • Project management

  • Financial literacy and budgeting

  • Service-based projects (lawn mowing, website building, equipment repair/fabrication)

  • Forestry and natural resource activities

  • Agricultural production enterprises

  • Floral arrangements and locally produced goods
  • Eligibility:

  • Must be an active Idaho FFA member

  • Must have or be planning to start an SAE project
  • About SAEs: Supervised Agricultural Experiences give FFA students meaningful opportunities to apply classroom learning in real settings, combining classroom instruction, leadership development, and hands-on experience to create a well-rounded approach to agricultural education.
