Program Overview

The Summer Fellowship program provides financial support to diverse and underrepresented law students pursuing public interest internships.

Award Details

• Award Amount: $5,000 per fellowship
• Geographic Scope: Florida (students attending Florida law schools)
• Focus Areas: Diversity and inclusion in the legal profession

Eligibility Requirements

• Student must be attending a Florida law school
• Must identify as diverse and/or underrepresented
• Must have secured a public interest internship
• Must demonstrate strong academic record
• Must demonstrate financial need
• Must demonstrate commitment to diversity

Target Groups Served

The foundation specifically supports:

• Black law students
• Hispanic law students
• Women law students
• Asian-Pacific law students
• Muslim law students
• LGBTQ+ law students
• Other underrepresented minority students

Foundation Background

KMMF is a non-profit organization dedicated to increasing diversity in the legal profession through mentoring relationships, networking events, and fellowship opportunities. The foundation has been in the forefront of promoting awareness of the need for diversity and inclusion in the legal profession.
