Summer Camp Financial Assistance

Geographic Scope: Boulder County, CO

Thorne Nature Experience offers financial assistance each year to help families who cannot afford full-price camp tuition. The program aims to ensure all Boulder County youth, regardless of race, ethnicity, or income, have the opportunity to connect with nature.

Eligibility

• Families who cannot afford full camp price
• Families experiencing crises such as loss of housing, serious illness, or caregiver's job loss
• Boulder County youth

Award Details

• Award Amount: $280 credit to account (for 1-week camps, remaining price becomes $280-$310)
• Note: Funding is limited; financial assistance requests are not guaranteed
• If assistance cannot be provided, families receive a full refund of their 50% deposit

Important Information

• No financial need assessment conducted; families trusted to request only needed support
• Processing time: Allow 2 weeks for confirmation
• Families must pay 50% deposit to be eligible

How to Apply

1. Complete the standard camper application
2. Select the option to request financial assistance
3. Pay the required 50% deposit
4. Submit application (must be completed before all funding is exhausted)
