Overview: The Student Investment Program offers financial literacy education and hands-on investment experience to promote financial well-being and wealth-building among students at HBCUs and MSIs. Program provides comprehensive investing workshops and seed funding for real-world stock market participation.

Bowie State University, Claflin University, Clark Atlanta University, Dillard University, Florida A&M University, Hampton University, Morehouse College, Norfolk State University, Prairie View A&M University, Southern University and A&M College, Texas Southern University, Tuskegee University, University of Maryland Eastern Shore, University of the District of Columbia, Xavier University of Louisiana

Eligibility Requirements:

Academic Level: Undergraduate students (any year)

Citizenship: U.S. Citizen OR Visa holder, Green Card holder, or ITIN holder

Majors: All majors eligible

Enrollment Status: Full-time, half-time, or part-time

Institution: Enrolled at eligible participating institution

Additional Requirement: Must complete workshops to receive funding

Capacity: Limited spaces available (300 total participants)

Eligibility Expansion:
Financial wellness education offered to entire student body at each of ten SFI participating schools, with seed funding available to selected 300 participants.

What They Don't Fund:

Non-participating institution students

Students who don't complete required workshops

Contributors: Prudential Financial, Stackwell, other philanthropic sponsors
