Stone Foundation believes in providing flexible, patient, and trust-based philanthropic support. Our grantmaking is primarily focused on supporting work that serves the people of Monmouth County, New Jersey and Wabanakiq, Maine. We consider both general operating and project-specific grants, including both annual and multi-year commitments. Stone Foundation’s grantmaking incorporates two approaches: An open application process that welcomes proposals from 501c3 nonprofit organizations, and community groups with a 501c3 fiscal sponsor. Foundation-initiated investments that convene, build networks, amplify impact, and innovate solutions with and among community changemakers, connectors, and influencers. Initial grants are generally limited to between $5,000 and $10,000. Maximum grant amount is $25,000.
