Overview

Purpose Through the Statewide Technical Assistance for Charter Schools (STACS) Request for Applications (RFA), the California Department of Education (CDE) will conduct a competitive process to award subgrants supporting activities with the goal of expanding and enhancing the statewide dissemination of high-quality technical assistance and best practices. STACS Subgrants will fund activities in fiscal years 2025-26, 2026-27, and 2027-28. Description Technical assistance will focus on five key topic areas: English Learners (EL), Special Education (SPED), Socioeconomically Disadvantaged Students (SED), Career and Technical Education (CTE), and Innovative Strategies. Applicants must be California-based local education agencies (LEAs), including county offices of education (COEs), or education non-profit organizations that possess substantial experience in providing technical assistance statewide to charter schools. Authorized under Title IV, Part C of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act 1965, as amended by the Every Student Succeeds Act (20 U.S.C.7221-7221j).
