Overview

Utah Division of Water Quality grants to reduce nonpoint sources of water pollution through voluntary and incentive-based best management practices. Eligibility: Projects must promote voluntary action to reduce water quality pollution, including construction of BMPs on private property or education initiatives. Focus areas: Agricultural improvements, stream/riparian/wetland restoration, urban stormwater and green infrastructure, planning/monitoring/technical support, septic system improvements. Priority: Innovative nature-based solutions, riparian health, rangeland health, capacity building, strategic alignment with TMDLs or watershed plans, public participation. Best for: Smaller scale projects, educational workshops, technical assistance, on-the-ground implementation, hardship-based septic replacement, AFO waste management. Cost share: No set requirement (10% recommended).
