Staff Appreciation Grant

Overview: The Mequon-Thiensville Education Foundation hosts an annual Staff Appreciation Grant that provides an opportunity to honor current MTSD staff members when donors make a donation in their name to MTEF.

Purpose: A wonderful way to say thank you to district staff members, particularly during Teacher Appreciation Month and for senior families to recognize special staff members who have supported them.

Geographic Scope: Mequon-Thiensville School District (MTSD), Wisconsin

Who Can Be Recognized: Any current outstanding MTSD employees including:

Classroom teachers

Paraprofessionals

Special education teachers

Facilities coordinators

Administrative assistants

Coaches

Other staff members

Grant Period: May 1 through May 31 annually (in conjunction with Teacher Appreciation Month)

Where Funds Go: All funds raised go towards the MTEF general grant fund and are earmarked for staff professional development.

Minimum Donation: $5 or more per honoree

Recognition:

Every honoree receives a communication at the end of the grant period noting their recognition and the individual(s) who made a donation on their behalf

All honorees are listed in MTEF's Annual Report

Matching Gifts: The foundation welcomes matching gifts. Businesses or families interested in supporting MTSD staff professional development with dollar-for-dollar matches should contact Dani Melgaard.
