St. Tammany Pro-Life Youth Leadership Award

Funder: St. Tammany Right to Life (Chapter of Louisiana Right to Life Federation)

Geographic Scope: St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana

Target Population: High school seniors graduating in May who are pro-life advocates

Eligibility Requirements

• High school senior at a St. Tammany Parish high school (public, parochial, or private) or homeschooled student
• Will graduate in May
• Reside in St. Tammany Parish
• Minimum 2.5 GPA
• Must demonstrate active pro-life advocacy in St. Tammany Parish and with Louisiana Right to Life

Examples of Pro-Life Advocacy

• Participation in annual Life Chain event
• Pro-Life Oratory contest participation
• PULSE Immersion Weekends or PULSE camp attendance
• Pro-life club participation at school or in community
• Volunteer time at local crisis pregnancy centers
• Local, state, or national March for Life participation

Award Includes

• $500 scholarship
• Crystal flame statue

Purpose

To encourage and support the growth of pro-life student advocates into pro-life young adults as they enter the world beyond St. Tammany Parish.

Application Process

1. Obtain Application Form
   • Download the Youth Leadership Award Application Form from the website
2. Complete Application
   • Fill out all required sections of the application form
3. Submit Application
   • Mail postmarked by March 30 (deadline)
   • Include evidence of pro-life advocacy and participation

Required Materials

• Completed application form
• Documentation of pro-life involvement (examples: participation certificates, volunteer hours, event attendance records)
• Proof of residence in St. Tammany Parish
• Proof of enrollment at St. Tammany high school or homeschool status
• GPA verification (minimum 2.5)
