Proposals are evaluated based on clarity, community benefit, feasibility, and educational value. This program aims to foster stewardship and connect Indiana youth with nature.Overview
Meet the Indiana Native Plant Society We were founded in 1993 and today have more than 1,000 member families. Acting as champions for biodiversity, we seek to nourish the web of life through native plants and to form bonds of stewardship for the future by bringing Indiana youth to nature. INPS members come from all over Indiana. We are a diverse mix of naturalists, gardeners, conservationists, scientists, writers, and photographers. Whether amateur or professional, we share our expertise and enthusiasm in pursuit of the INPS mission. We are a volunteer-led statewide organization with seven regional chapters. The statewide organization, led by the INPS Board, sets policy and direction, hosts major events, and supports the activities of the chapters. South Central Chapter: Small Grants Program Would a demonstration garden project help your local school? Maybe you have an idea for a pollinator area, a rain garden, or a garden of edible native plants in a park near you? Think outside the box and consider applying for a grant! The South Central Chapter of INPS will provide small grants for qualified projects that further the mission of the organization. The Chapter will consider requests for grants that range from $50 to $250. Partial funding may be offered at the discretion of the Chapter. The disbursement of funds will depend on the size of the grant and the type of project. In most cases, the disbursement will be divided into two payments. Proposals will be evaluated on the clarity of purpose, benefit to the community, feasibility within the proposed timeline and funding levels, the value of the educational component, and the likelihood that the proposed project will be successful in meeting its goals.Eligibility
