Sleep Champion Award Grant

The Sleep Champion Award, established by the AASM Foundation in 2019, recognizes non-profit organizations that excel in providing community-based sleep health services. This award aims to honor organizations dedicated to enhancing sleep health through advocacy and education. Recipients will receive a $10,000 unrestricted grant and complimentary registration for a representative at the annual meeting, fostering further educational and networking opportunities. Eligible nominees include U.S. and international non-profits committed to improving sleep health.

The AASM Foundation is investing in people, research, and communities to improve the sleep health of all people. Our purpose is embodied by organizations that are at the forefront of providing important sleep services, spearheading sleep initiatives, engaging the sleep community, and/or leading sleep advocacy efforts to create change while promoting healthy sleep.
The Sleep Champion Award was created in 2019 to honor non-profit organizations that are leading such endeavors locally, nationally, or worldwide. The Sleep Champion Award celebrates successful community-based sleep health services and education provided by non-profit organizations.
The Sleep Champion Award provides the following to the selected organization:
$10,000 award (unrestricted funds)Recipient is encouraged to use the funds to attend the annual meetings/events for educational and networking purposes.Complimentary registration for a representative to attend the annual meeting

Eligibility

The following organizations or individuals are eligible to nominate:Non-profit organizations may self-nominate and/or individuals who have experience volunteering with the non-profit organization may nominate.Only US and international non-profit organizations (501(c)3 or international equivalent) are eligible to be nominated.

Ineligibility

Current AASM Foundation Board of Directors members are not eligible to nominate organizations.Previous recipients of the Sleep Champion Award are not eligible.Organizations located in, or operating from, countries subject to U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control sanctions are not eligible to receive AASM Foundation funding.
