Overview This competitive grant program seeks to increase the number of fellowship programs for hematologists specializing in treating adults with sickle cell disease (SCD). Project Types It is our intent to support institutions with fellowship programs for hematologists who specialize in treating adults with SCD that also have a strong focus on clinical practice, research, and education to further the understanding of SCD. Specific Area of Interest for this RFP: Do not include the name of the potential fellow(s) in application materials. This grant will be awarded to an institution, not an individual.Institutions with fellowship programs that include independent research and a strong mentoring program. Clinical training may be included in the program but is not required.No aspect of the fellowship program can benefit Pfizer’s business or a Pfizer asset.
