Short Career and Technical Education (CTE) Certificate Grant

Award Amount: Between $1,000 up to $2,250 per aid year

Purpose: Career and Technical Education grant funds help support students in short technical programs that are not eligible for other regular Title IV funding due to their short length

Eligibility:

  • Residency: Colorado resident

  • Enrollment: Enrolled in a short certificate program that is NOT eligible for Title IV aid

  • Academic Standing: In good Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) standing

  • Financial Aid Form: Have a valid clear FAFSA on file

  • Financial Need: Must demonstrate financial need (various ways available; contact Financial Aid for clarification)
  • Geographic Scope: Colorado residents only

    Award Type: First come, first served basis

    How to Apply

    Application Process

    1. Complete Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) - must be valid and clear on file
    2. Enroll in an eligible short certificate program (not eligible for Title IV aid)
    3. Maintain good Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) standing
    4. Demonstrate financial need (contact Financial Aid for multiple ways to demonstrate this)
    5. Submit application through Office of Financial Aid
