The purpose of this program is to provide bullet and stab protective vests for K9s at no cost to law enforcement and related agencies throughout the United States. Vests will be provided for K9s that are actively employed, certified with their current handler, and at least 20 months of age. Vests will be custom-made to fit each dog, and will be under warranty for five years. Refer to page 3 of the NOFA file for additional details regarding the features of awarded vests.
