Serving of Hope Fund

The Serving of Hope fund was created in 2009 to help Hi-Line residents who have to travel for serious medical conditions. The fund provides financial assistance to patients experiencing medical emergencies.

• Since inception, the fund has paid out over $316,000 to 677 patients

Background: The fund originated from the "Men Who Cook for Women Who Wine" event started in 2007 to support the Northern Montana Sletten Cancer Center. After the Cancer Center was built, the event's volunteers created the Serving of Hope fund to continue their fundraising efforts. While the original event no longer takes place, the fund continues through community donations (e.g., Shores Floral's annual Daffodil Fundraiser).
