Urgent Action Fund for Feminist Activism (formerly known as Urgent Action Fund for Women's Human Rights) was founded in 1997 to deliver funds quickly to frontline feminists and their movements in moments of urgent crisis and unexpected opportunity. This model is known as rapid response grantmaking.

Mission: Partners with frontline feminist movements to support women, trans, and non-binary activists striving to create a more just and equitable world.

How to Apply for a Security Grant

Application Process:

1. Submit Application Online: Fill out the security grant application form online for consideration
- Applications accepted in: English (EN), Arabic (AR), Russian (RU)

2. Alternative Submission Method: Download the application form and submit via email to proposals@urgentactionfund.org

Complete all required grant application questions
Include 2 references
Identify potential fiscal sponsor or wire recipient (if your organization does not have an official bank account)

Review and Decision Timeline:

1. Application submitted
2. Program officer reviews application

- References are checked

3. Decision made
- Grant approved: Email sent to applicant
- Grant declined: Email sent to applicant
4. Grant Contract Documentation (if approved)
