Geographic Scope: South Dakota

Purpose: The South Dakota Trust Association Trust Industry Scholarship awards up to three (3) scholarships to college students to promote the South Dakota Trust industry and to offer students a window into the variety of career paths available to them within the industry. The scholarship was implemented in 2022 to help increase awareness of the local trust industry and emphasize the current demand for trust administrators.

Award Amounts:

$2,000 (1 scholarship)

$1,500 (1 scholarship)

$1,000 (1 scholarship)

Up to 3 total scholarships available

Eligibility Requirements

• Must be accepted and/or currently attending a South Dakota-accredited school of higher learning
• Graduate students are eligible
• Enrollment will be verified through the student's institution when the scholarship is awarded

Use of Funds

• Scholarship must be applied toward tuition fees

Background

Established in 2022, this scholarship has been awarded annually. Recipients have included students from University of South Dakota Knudson School of Law, University of Sioux Falls, Dakota Wesleyan University, and Augustana University.
