SCN2A Family Travel Scholarship

Purpose: Travel Scholarship Grant provides financial assistance to individuals attending the 2026 Family and Professional Conference to help cover expenses such as conference registration, hotel accommodations, and/or travel costs to and from the conference.
- Families with a loved one diagnosed on a genetic report with SCN2A-related disorders (SRD)
- Need-based only
- Attending the 2026 SCN2A Family and Professional Conference (July 29-31, 2026 in Orlando, FL)
Eligibility
- Grants up to $1,200 per applicant
- Covers: - Conference registration - Hotel accommodations (Standard Run of House rooms only) - Travel costs to and from conference
- Applicants encouraged to apply for the amount they truly need
- Receipts required for reimbursement
Award Amount
- Application Deadline: May 1, 2026
- Notification Date: On or before May 30, 2026
Application Timeline
- By check at the conclusion of the conference after all receipts are submitted
- May take 2-3 weeks to receive payment
- Applicants responsible for reserving their own accommodation and travel

- Dates: July 29-31, 2026 (Optional family fun day August 1)

Conference Details
- Accommodation scholarships cover only Standard Run of House rooms
- Upgrades or additional nights are at applicant's own expense
- Cancellation policy: Free cancellation up to 72 hours before arrival; one night's room and tax fee if cancelled after deadline
- Children encouraged to attend; SuperSib Camp available for siblings over age 3
- Children with SRD must have a caregiver with them at all times

1. Complete the SCN2A Family Travel Scholarship Application
2. Specify the amount requested (up to $1,200)
3. Provide relevant documentation to support your application:
- Financial documents not required
- Must demonstrate how funds will be used
- Provide receipts for all expenses
4. When applying, be clear about which expenses you need covered (conference registration, hotel, travel)
5. Submit application by May 1, 2026
- Grants awarded based on information provided and available funds
- Applicants notified on or before May 30, 2026
