Science for Solutions Award Grant

The Science for Solutions Award honors students and postdoctoral scientists for their significant contributions using Earth and space science to tackle societal challenges. Established by Peter Schlosser, this award includes a $1,000 prize, an engraved trophy, recognition at AGU's annual meeting, and an invitation to present their work. Eligible candidates must be students or postdoctoral researchers within three years of their Ph.D., with nominations open to AGU members.

Recognizing Significant Solutions to Societal Problems Using Earth and Space Science.
The Science for Solutions Award is given annually to a student or postdoctoral scientist in recognition of significant contributions in the application and use of the Earth and space science to solve societal problems.
The award was established by the generosity of Peter Schlosser, a former President of AGU’s Ocean Sciences section. The recipient receives a monetary prize to advance their studies or projects.

Eligibility

The nominee must be a current student or postdoctoral scientist within three years of receiving their Ph.D.Nominators must be active AGU members.Invitation to present at annual meeting;Peer OR self-nomination permitted
