Science for Solutions Award Recognizing Significant Solutions to Societal Problems Using Earth and Space Science. The Science for Solutions Award is given annually to a student or postdoctoral scientist in recognition of significant contributions in the application and use of the Earth and space science to solve societal problems. The award was established by the generosity of Peter Schlosser, a former President of AGU’s Ocean Sciences section. The recipient receives a monetary prize to advance their studies or projects.
