Scholarships for Impactful Change
Funder: Les Dames d'Escoffier International (LDEI) in partnership with The Wine Group
Award Amount: $5,000 per scholarship; 4 scholarships awarded annually
Geographic Scope: International (women pursuing degrees at accredited institutions)
Focus Areas:
- Age: Women aged 21 and older
- Experience: Minimum of four years of culinary experience (as of 2024)
- Enrollment: Full-time enrollment in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program
- GPA: Minimum 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent
- Academic Performance: Demonstrated merit

- Recipients required to participate in publicity surrounding the program

- GPA of at least 3.0/4.0
- Three letters of recommendation
- Demonstration of financial need

How to Apply
Application Process
1. Application Period: Opens April 1 annually; closes May 15
2. Submission: Applications submitted online at ldei.org
3. Required Materials:
- Completed application form
- Proof of enrollment in accredited institution
- Academic transcript showing minimum 3.0 GPA
- Three letters of recommendation
- Evidence of financial need
- Essay or statement demonstrating leadership, civic engagement, and commitment to social justice/positive change
4. Important Notes:
- Late or incomplete applications will not be considered
- Any change in enrollment status during scholarship year must be communicated to LDEI within 7 days
- If applicant's debt with institution is paid in full before funds arrive, all funds returned to LDEI
5. Award Notification: All applicants notified of award status in June
