Scholarship Programs

Overview: Community Foundation of Greater Rochester administers scholarship funding for students pursuing higher education.

Geographic Scope: Greater Rochester area (Rochester, Rochester Hills, Oakland Township, Michigan)

Scholarship Types:

Endowed Scholarship Fund

• Minimum Investment: $20,000
• Award: Provides annual $1,000 scholarship in perpetuity
• Duration: Long-term, indefinite funding

Non-Endowed Scholarship Fund

• Minimum Investment: $10,000
• Award: Provides ten (10) annual $1,000 scholarships
• Duration: Limited to 10 years of awards

One-Time Scholarship

• Minimum Investment: $1,020
• Award: One $1,000 scholarship
• Duration: Single award

Customization Options:

Donors may name the scholarship

Donors can recommend specific eligibility criteria

Scholarships awarded through Community Foundation's annual Scholarship Program

Awards selected by committee of volunteers

Eligibility:

Outstanding or needy students

Pursuing educational goals

Award criteria determined by scholarship fund

Award Process:

Awards granted through annual Scholarship Program

Committee of volunteers reviews and selects recipients
