Scholarship Program

Funder: The Scholarship Fund, Grand Lodge, A.F. & A.M., of Virginia

Purpose: Provides scholarships, fellowships and other forms of financial assistance to deserving men and women from the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Geographic Scope: Commonwealth of Virginia

Organization Type: 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation licensed by the Virginia State Corporation Commission

Eligibility

Scholarship recipients must be:

  • Deserving men and women

  • Residing in the Commonwealth of Virginia

    • Selection Criteria

    Merit includes:

  • Academic achievement

  • Class rank

  • Standardized test scores

  • Participation in high school, church or synagogue activities

  • Quality of application essays

    • Need is determined by:

  • Applicant's financial status

  • Review of family's adjusted gross income

  • Checking and savings accounts

  • Stocks and securities

  • Equity in land and real estate holdings

    • Award Details

    Amount: Up to $1,000 per scholarship

    Renewability: Renewable for four years depending upon:

  • Availability of funds

  • Satisfactory academic performance

  • Continuing need

    How to Apply

    Application Process

    Deadline: March 1st (annual)

    Required Materials:

  • Completed application form

  • Academic achievement documentation

  • Class rank information

  • Standardized test scores

  • Evidence of participation in high school, church or synagogue activities

  • Application essays

  • Financial need documentation (family adjusted gross income, account statements, asset information, real estate information)

    • Submission Instructions:
    1. Download the application form from the website
    2. Complete all required sections
    3. Gather supporting documentation for merit and need evaluation
    4. Return completed application by March 1st to:
