Organization: Fish Florida (Florida Foundation for Responsible Fishing)

Program Summary

Scholarships support aquatic science students working to improve our understanding of Florida's waters. These scholarships promote quality research that benefits Florida's aquatic resource protection and restoration.

Purpose

For Floridians to act as effective environmental stewards and to promote cooperation essential to protecting and restoring Florida's aquatic habitats, quality research is needed. Sharing research results with children and adults gives them the knowledge to make informed choices to protect, conserve, and manage Florida's aquatic resources.

    Eligible Institutions

    Scholarships are available to students from:
  • University of South Florida
  • Nova Southeastern University
  • Florida Gulf Coast University
  • University of Miami

Recent Award Information

Fish Florida has just awarded two fellowships to students that will be announced in May (as of website content date).
