One-for-one matching grants for historic preservation projects maintained by private nonprofit organizations.

Geographic Scope:

• Six New England states (Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont)
• Georgia

What They Fund:

• Painting
• Surface restoration
• Fire detection/security systems
• Repairs to/restoration of chimneys, porches, roofs, and windows
• Repairs to foundations and sills
• Masonry repointing

Eligibility:

• Private nonprofit organizations
• Must maintain historic sites
• Located in one of the six New England states or Georgia

Application Process:
Grants are available through The 1772 Foundation's state partner organizations. Applications processed through partner organizations rather than directly to the foundation.
