SBIR/STTR Funding Programs

Central Maine Growth Council provides information and support for Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) federal funding programs.

Eligibility Requirements (must meet ALL):

• Business employs 500 or fewer employees (including affiliates)
• Business is at least 51% owned and operated by a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
• Business is a for-profit entity (or will form one)
• Business is located in the United States
• SBIR Only: Principal Investigator (main researcher) must devote at least 51% time to the business (not required for STTR)
