Program Type: Grant for resident students at SUNY/CUNY institutions

Geographic Scope: Buffalo, NY and Niagara Falls, NY

Eligibility Requirements

• College Type: Enrolled at a SUNY or CUNY college
• Federal Aid: Must have received maximum Federal Pell Grant
• Housing: Must reside on campus
• Base Eligibility: Must meet Say Yes Buffalo scholarship eligibility requirements

Award Details

• Amount: Up to $2,000 per year
• Use: Can be used toward:
  • Books
  • Fees
  • Room and board

Academic Requirements

• Maintain satisfactory academic standing with college
• Successfully complete minimum 12 credit hours per semester
• Maintain GPA of 2.0 or better each semester

Duration

• Up to 12 semesters for four-year institutions
• Up to 6 semesters for two-year institutions

How to Apply

1. Base Application: Complete Say Yes Buffalo Tuition Scholarship application process (see separate entry)
2. Additional Steps:
   • Complete Federal FAFSA application to establish Pell Grant eligibility
   • Complete New York State TAP application
   • Apply to and be admitted to a SUNY or CUNY college
   • Apply for on-campus housing
   • Notify Say Yes of college choice through scholarship account
3. Verification: Say Yes will verify maximum Pell Grant receipt and on-campus residency status
