Society for Vascular Surgery The Society for Vascular Surgery® (SVS) seeks to advance excellence and innovation in vascular health through education, advocacy, research and public awareness. The organization was founded in 1946 and currently has a membership of more than 6,000. SVS membership is recognized in the vascular community as a mark of professional achievement. SAVC Research Seed Grant The Society for Vascular Surgery (SVS) Section on Ambulatory Vascular Care (SAVC) Research Seed Grant’s goal is to provide vascular surgeons with funds for research for actionable insights, quality improvement, and patient care. This grant supports research conducted in OBLs or ASCs and outpatient vascular practices. Examples of possible topics include not only procedure-based outcomes but also new innovations such as drug-eluting technology, insurance authorizations, enhanced recovery pathways, nursing care, education, training, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), the role of advanced practice providers and patient safety. Three recipients will be selected, each receiving a $10,000.00 grant. This grant is renewable for a second year, based upon first-year outcomes. A progress report will be required, and the SAVC Awards Work Group will review the project results. The grant will be distributed over the course of four quarters, and grantees will be required to present updates about their research once per quarter to the SAVC Awards Work Group. SAVC is invested in a process that assures diversity, equity and inclusion for this award and scholarship opportunities. We encourage enthusiastic, eligible applicants from all aspects of gender, sexual orientation and ethnicity to apply. This grant is separate from the SAVC Presentation Award. Applicants can apply for both the Grant and subsequently the Presentation Award after the research is complete.Eligibility
