SATPID Individual Hotel Incentive Program

Status: Active for Fiscal Year 2021 and extended

Geographic Scope: San Antonio, Texas

Program Background:
Modeled after similar successful initiatives across the country. The San Antonio Tourism Public Improvement District (SATPID) is funded by hotels with 100+ rooms through a 1.25% assessment and managed by an 11-member Board of Directors made up of participating hoteliers.

Purpose:
Enables district member hotels to provide incentives for self-contained groups or meetings that could attract and/or retain overnight visitors to San Antonio. Designed to enhance San Antonio's performance as a convention and tourism destination.

Eligibility:

  • Only district member hotels (hotels with 100+ rooms participating in SATPID)

  • Program is for providing incentives to self-contained groups or meetings
  • Funding History:
    Since program inauguration May 1, 2019, $926K has been committed and/or awarded via reimbursements to TPID Hotels.
