Since 1964, the Area Foundation has distributed millions in grants and scholarships to educate youth, preserve the environment, protect animals, fund research and provide services that enhance the quality of life for people living in and around San Antonio. Legacy Scholars About the Scholarship The San Antonio Area Foundation’s Legacy Scholarship is open to high school junior students in Bexar or Webb County. As one of the nation’s largest scholarships, our vision is to close opportunity gaps for those that need it most.
