The SouthCoast Community Foundation allocates individual, family, and corporate funds to meet community needs. To date, the organization has distributed over $50 million from more than 200 funds to humanitarian, educational, and cultural organizations in the region. Samuel and Solomon Rusitzky Entrepreneurial Education The Samuel and Solomon Rusitzky Entrepreneurial Education Scholarship Fund of the SouthCoast Community Foundation was created to provide annual college scholarships to selected New Bedford area adult workers seeking to improve their professional standing by pursuing higher educational opportunities related to their profession. The scholarships are awarded for tuition assistance while enrolled in a two- or four-year accredited college or university.
