Foundation Funding Priorities The Foundation focuses its giving on three priority areas of need: Economic Self-Sufficiency, Food Insecurity and Human Services. While we give priority to requests that meaningfully connect to these focus areas, we also recognize that many worthwhile endeavors exist throughout our region. For this reason, we give careful consideration to every request we receive. Economic Self-Sufficiency The Foundation makes numerous grants and donations to non-profit organizations that have programs and projects aimed at improving the lives of low-and moderate-income individuals and families throughout our communities. These investments help people reach and maintain a level of strength and stability, on their own footing, as productive and contributing members of society. Food Insecurity Nourishing our communities. Organizations and programs working to provide immediate food relief, food assistance or work to create sustainable solutions to hunger. Offering fresh, healthy food through pantries, home deliveries for homebound residents, providing food or prepared meals for seniors, families, and individuals facing food insecurity. Human Services Organizations that provide essential support services and are committed to establishing access to housing and clothing resources to individuals and families in need. Programs that provide safety and promote well-being, teach life skills for self-sufficiency and aim to end homelessness.
