Ruth Taylor Scholarship Fund

    The Ruth Taylor Scholarship Fund was established in tribute to Ruth Taylor upon her retirement as the county's Commissioner of Public Welfare and in recognition of her nearly four decades of outstanding service.

      Eligibility Requirements

    • Enrolled as a graduate student at Fordham University's School of Social Work
    • Pursuing a master's degree in social work
    • Resident of Westchester County
    • Demonstrated commitment to the Westchester community through work or volunteering with a local nonprofit

    Award History

    Since the 2008-2009 academic year, 67 students from Westchester have received a collective $185,000 in Ruth Taylor scholarships.
