Overview

Rural Youth Voter Fund

Organization: Clean and Prosperous America (CaPA)

Overview:
A year-round power-building effort in collaboration with the Rural Democracy Initiative (RDI) and Movement Voter Project (MVP). The Rural Youth Voter Fund identifies and supports the most creative and committed grassroots groups — high-potential groups that are often under-the-radar and under-funded.

    Focus Areas

  • Target Population: Community-rooted organizing groups focused on improving civic engagement among 18-35 year-olds, especially people of color who live beyond large cities
  • Geographic Focus: Small towns and rural areas (non-urban communities)
  • Rationale: Increased representation of young voters of color in small towns and rural areas is critical; local community organizations are most effective at reaching these voters
