Rowdy Return Scholarship

Geographic Scope: MSU Denver campus (Denver, Colorado)

Focus Areas:

• COVID-19 vaccination incentive
• Student financial support
• Public health commitment

Award Details:

• Five scholarships awarded (2021-22 academic year)
• Award amount: Up to $8,164 per recipient for full academic year
• Covers tuition and fees not covered by existing financial aid
• Winners: Two seniors, one junior, two freshmen

Eligibility:

• MSU Denver undergraduate students
• Received at least one dose of authorized COVID-19 vaccine (Pfizer, Moderna, or Johnson & Johnson)
• Completed vaccine verification form by August 1, 2021
• Must have received vaccine by July 19, 2021

Selection Method:

• Random drawing/lottery
• All eligible students assigned random number between 1-1 billion
• Five largest numbers selected as winners

Purpose:

• Reward student commitment to public health
• Support financial needs of undergraduate students
• Align with university's access-driven mission and affordability commitment

Application Process

1. Vaccine Verification: Complete vaccine verification form
2. Deadline: August 1, 2021 for form submission
3. Vaccination Date Requirement: Must have received at least one dose by July 19, 2021
4. Selection: Random drawing from all eligible students who submitted forms by deadline

Award Notification:

• Winners announced (announcement made August 2021 for 2021-22 academic year)
• Funds applied to student account for tuition and fees
